13 Jan Point Dume Malibu Bridals

One of the joys of being a wedding photographer is having the opportunity to work alongside my very talented wife, Emily, of Emlily Floral Designs. Occasionally Emily has left over flowers or “accidentally” orders extra blooms and wants to put them to good use. On this particular editorial session, Emily let me know I had about 2-3 days to find a model and a location that would best suit her arrangements. Finding a location wasn’t too difficult and I already had 2 areas in mind that I felt would look great. However, finding a model who was available is another story. If you have ever tried to find a model with 2 days notice you might understand the predicament I was in, but I’m always up for a challenge and I knew we would be able to pull it off. Fortunately, after contacting several potential models we finally got a response from someone who was available!

Emily’s bouquet and flower crown set against a calm blue ocean and a weathered California cliffside was really something to see; the arrangements were definitely the result of a visionary artist who’s passion is seen in all of the small details. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to photograph such breathtaking flower arrangements in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Our model, Rachel, was professional and excellent to work with; she was the perfect person for our spur-of-the-moment photo shoot.
